If you’ve done your research, are happy that you meet our Eligibility Criteria and would like to discuss becoming a foster carer with Team Fostering, the first stage is making an enquiry with us.

- To start with, a member of our recruitment team will go over some initial information with you, and find out a little more about you and your suitability to foster. This will be done over the phone, and will give you the opportunity for you to ask us any questions of your own. We’ll do our best to fit an initial call in around your current schedule or working pattern. If after that conversation, both you and Team Fostering feel it is right to continue, we will arrange an initial home visit.
- Your home visit will be conducted by our Recruitment Social Worker. The main aim of this face-to-face visit is for us to get a more in-depth feel for your background, lifestyle, experience and skills, but it also gives us the opportunity to look at the environment in which you would potentially be providing foster care to a young person.
- Following this, if our Recruitment Social Worker is confident that it is appropriate to continue into assessment, we will come back to you as an agency within 2 days of your visit with a formal ‘invite to apply.’ You’ll be provided with a link to our Online Application form to complete. The recruitment team will be at hand during the process should you have any questions or need any support.
