Non-Executive Director Vacancy: A Note from Rosy Holden

08 August 2018

A message from the Board Chair at Team Fostering

Dear Prospective Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in our advert and your consideration in applying for the role of a Non-Executive Director with Team Fostering. This is an existing role on our Board which has become vacant as the present post holder is stepping down, although remaining as a Member of the Board. We are looking for someone with business and financial experience, and of course all the other requirements we’ve asked for!

We are all immensely proud of Team Fostering and are constantly reviewing our service to identify ways in which we can improve and develop for the future.  This role is part of that development and will (hopefully) provide someone who will bring fresh ideas and new perspectives to our thinking and assist with this task. As a Board we are looking forward to benefiting from the independent experience, knowledge and contributions of the successful candidate.

We are looking for someone who shares our commitment to our not for profit status and in achieving the very best for our Children and Young People, which is our main priority.

We already have an established Employee Forum Group and a Health and Safety Wellbeing Group for our staff, and our Children and Young People have their Teamies Group and Project Listen Group where they can meet to discuss and raise issues with us. Our Senior Managers meet with our foster carer representatives on a termly basis to discuss issues and developments and periodically a Non-Executive Director will join these meetings.

We have worked hard to establish and maintain a good reputation with our Stakeholders, Local Authorities and other Agencies throughout both regions. We are a friendly, inclusive Agency and are known as being a good place to work for both our Foster Carers and Staff. If successful you will be welcomed into our Organisation, where everyone is positive about a new Non-Executive Director joining the Board.

‘Good Luck’ with your application and if you are successful, we look forward to meeting you at the interviews and working with you in the future.

Kind Regards

Rosy Holden

Board Chair
