An opportunity has arisen for Panel Members to join our central list and to complement our Yorkshire and East Midlands Region Fostering Panel. We are committed to ensuring that our panel membership reflects the diversity of the communities we serve.
As a Panel Member you will contribute to the provision of a first class fostering service for children through effective participation in fostering panel business. Drawing on any relevant knowledge, experience and skills you will be required to contribute to fostering panel business efficiently in accordance with regulations and the policies and procedures of the agency.
A reasonable knowledge of fostering and the regulatory framework and standards surrounding it as well as evidence of a commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children are all essential qualities we are seeking for this post.
We are interested in hearing from people with a background in health, social work, foster care, education, or disability. We are particularly interested in hearing from foster carers and people who are care experienced themselves. It is not necessary for applicants to have a social work qualification but with the exception of people who have been in care experience in relation to supporting/working with children and/or families is required.
You will also be required to contribute to the continuous development of the agency through working effectively with the Chair, the Agency Adviser, the Agency Decision Maker and other managers.
A formal induction is provided for successful candidates as a requirement of this post.
