Team Fostering is also committed to Equal Opportunities and will actively challenge discrimination on the grounds of disability, gender, religion, race, culture or sexual orientation. The agency has been awarded the Positive about Disability symbol by Jobcentre plus. The principle of equality of opportunity is applied in the entire agency’s work, and to all those with whom the agency has contact.
Team Fostering has adopted the principle, set out in the 1989 Children Act, that the welfare of children is paramount. This principle is applied to the agency’s decision making, planning and daily work.
