As a ‘Not for Profit’ organisation, we are not motivated by financial gain but by the child centred focus in our work, and we are able work creatively to ensure that we have the best possible outcomes for our children and young people. Our experienced staff comment that they derive a great deal of satisfaction in supporting our foster carers and establishing constructive and helpful relationships with the young people in their care. We do make a difference, and this is evidenced by the careful matching of placements, low disruption rates and positive outcomes that are achieved.
The staff at Team Fostering are committed to the agency’s vision and values. The focus of the agency is on support, not just for the children and the carers but also for the staff, and we work hard to look after our staff with a range of benefits and competitive salaries. All staff have regular, monthly formal supervision with their line mangers and other managers are also available for support at other times if necessary. Staff are encouraged to pursue training and career development opportunities relevant to their job roles and responsibilities, and we have examples of staff who have been promoted into different roles within the agency.
Our recent Ofsted Inspection commented that:-
‘Staff felt supported and appreciated, and part of the team, professional training opportunities were available to staff, management were approachable, and there were clear lines of accountability’
We hold the Investors in People Award and are planning to work towards the Gold Award in 2012.
