Team Fostering | Foster Carer Fostering Panel

Team Fostering have established fostering panels to carry out the following functions:

To consider fostering assessments and make recommendations to the agency about applicants suitability as foster carers
When the panel recommend approval, to also recommend the terms of approval
To consider reviews of foster carers' appointment/ approval, and make recommendations to the agency regarding suitability as foster carers
To advise where appropriate on the annual review process and to monitor the effectiveness of annual review of carers
To oversee the conduct of assessments, give advice and make recommendations on any matters or cases the fostering service may refer to the panel
To offer advice, when requested, to assessing social workers on assessments in process
To make recommendations to the agency about the termination of foster carers' appointment/ approval
To consider any representations made to the agency following a Qualifying Determination made by the Agency Decision Maker to change or terminate a foster carer's approval
